The Communications Section serves as the first point of contact for journalists and members of the public with questions about Britain and the BTCO.

The Communications Section is responsible for projecting the UK in Taiwan. It also serves as the first point of contact for journalists and members of the public with questions about Britain and the BTCO.

Services for journalists:

  • We provide help to journalists who wish to research articles or stories about the UK.
  • We offer advice and guidance for the Taiwan journalists moving to the UK to work as foreign correspondents.
  • We can act as a contact for Taiwan local radio stations, which are interested in re-broadcasting BBC World Service. Click BBC World Service Programme in Taiwan to select your nearest city.
  • We distribute press releases and other news materials on important events.
  • We can arrange press briefings and interviews with visiting British Government officials, business delegates and other leading personalities.  We are also happy to give interviews and briefings about any event with which the BTCO is involved.
  • Our News page contains recent BTCO press releases, news items on UK foreign policy from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London and selected key speeches by British Ministers and officials.
Through the FCO website, journalists can have access to extensive information on a wide range of international subjects.
  • You can visit "About the UK" page, an essential guide to the UK, on this website for more information.

If you still cannot find the information you need, please contact us.
